BREAKING: Oyo Govt Debunks Kidnapping Rumour at Kishi Nursing College – No Incident Occurred

In a swift response to widespread social media rumours, the Oyo State Government has firmly dismissed reports of a kidnapping incident at the College of Nursing campus in Kishi as false and misleading.

The rumours, which surfaced recently and caused panic among students, staff, parents, and local residents, were described by authorities as baseless misinformation originating from an unfounded alarm.

Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Olusegun Olayiwola, addressed the issue directly, stating that thorough checks confirmed no kidnapping took place.

He emphasized the government’s unwavering commitment to the safety and security of all educational institutions across Oyo State.Similarly, the management of the Oyo State College of Nursing (headquartered in Eleyele, Ibadan, with a campus in Kishi) issued an official statement through Provost Dr. Gbonjubola Owolabi.
