HAM Volunteers Reaffirm Support for Abiola Makinde, Urge Calm Ahead of General Election
AKURE – The HAM Volunteers have reaffirmed their unwavering support for Hon. Dr. Abiola Makinde, insisting that he remains the rightful winner of the All Progressives Congress (APC) primary election for the Ondo East/West Federal Constituency.
In a press statement, the group maintained that the outcome announced by the primary election commitee clearly reflected the mandate freely given by party members.
According to the statement, Hon. Dr. Abiola Makinde polled 10,847 votes, while Dr. Ajilo secured 593 votes, a result the group said demonstrated the overwhelming confidence of APC members in Makinde’s leadership and candidacy.
The volunteers further stated that Makinde’s popularity, electoral track record, and longstanding relationship with grassroots communities continue to set him apart as the candidate deserving of the party’s support in the forthcoming general election.
While expressing confidence in his electoral prospects, the group appealed to supporters, party faithful, and well-wishers to remain calm, peaceful, and law-abiding.
The statement also urged members to intensify grassroots mobilisation and lawful campaign activities in support of Hon. Dr. Abiola Makinde’s reelection bid, as well as the reelection of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
According to the group, unity, discipline, and commitment to democratic principles will be crucial to achieving victory at the polls.
