Tinubu Reportedly Warns Tunji-Ojo Against Interfering in Ondo APC Affairs.
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has reportedly cautioned the Minister of Interior, Hon. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, against interfering in the affairs of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State, advising him to focus on his ministerial responsibilities and allow party structures to manage internal matters.
According to sources familiar with the development, the President specifically invited the minister to a closed-door meeting held in Lagos. The meeting was also attended by the National Chairman of the APC, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda.
During the meeting, President Tinubu was said to have expressed concerns over the minister’s alleged involvement in the political activities of the party in Ondo State.
“I appointed you a minister, but it’s obvious you’re getting distracted with politics. Recently, you were accused of disturbing the peace of our party in Ondo State during an interview on Channels Television, and now your actions are proving that allegation right,” the President reportedly said.
Sources further revealed that the President advised Tunji-Ojo to concentrate on the administration of the Interior Ministry and avoid actions capable of creating tension within the APC in Ondo State.
The development comes amid growing political discussions surrounding the internal dynamics of the ruling party in the state.
