HAM Volunteers commends His Excellency, Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, for his swift, measured, and statesmanlike response to the circulation of a fabricated party list in Ondo State. At a time when clarity and leadership matter most, the Governor’s intervention has helped steady the Party and protect the integrity of our internal processes.
We also salute His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, for reaffirming, without equivocation, that the Governor is the authentic leader of Ondo State and the custodian of the APC structure at the state level. That declaration settles doubt, restores confidence, and reinforces constitutional order within the Party.
Setting the Record Straight
Governor Aiyedatiwa has shown uncommon magnanimity and inclusivity by carrying leaders across Ondo State along in the Party’s affairs, including Honourable Minister Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo. It is neither debatable nor new to state that Governors are the political and administrative leaders of their states. This principle is what sustains discipline, cohesion, and electoral victory.
It is therefore troubling and unacceptable to see a Federal Government appointee attempt to undermine the Governor’s authority by influencing the outcome and publication of a Primary election list in Ondo State. Such actions run contrary to party discipline and the collective interest of the APC.
The Facts Are Clear
A duly constituted Election Committee was deployed to supervise and monitor the primaries. The exercise was transparent: results were collated at the venue, figures were announced, and the certified outcome was transmitted directly to the APC National Secretariat in Abuja by the Committee.
It therefore defies logic and due process for an aspirant who came fourth in the duly conducted election to suddenly emerge first on an unauthorized list, with no justification or administrative basis. That is a direct subversion of the will of Party members and must not be allowed to stand.
Our Appeal
HAM Volunteers respectfully call on Mr. President to order an immediate investigation into this fraudulent manipulation and to hold those responsible to account. Inaction will only weaken grassroots confidence and undermine the critical work both the Governor and Mr. President are doing to mobilize voters ahead of the coming general elections for Mr. President and our great Party.
We remain steadfast in our support for the Renewed Hope Agenda, for the APC, and for purposeful leadership in Ondo State under Governor Aiyedatiwa.
